Conjure is bootstrapped, has not taken any external investment and aims to be a long-term sustainable business, prioritizing user well-being and delivering value, over financial goals.
Conjure has two plans: Standard and Seeker. Both plans offer full use of Conjure.
The Seeker plan is for users who wish to support Conjure to become better faster, by paying extra. Each Seeker plan subscription provides free access to someone who cannot afford Conjure.
The Seeker plan has some additional perks, such as special icons, which can be found in the Settings section of both Conjure web and mobile.
For more see Conjure's pricing page.
You can manage your subscription, credit card and other related information by going to Settings, then Billing on Conjure web.
When a subscription payment fails, you will be notified by email. Over the following two weeks, the payment will be attempted several times again until successful and you will be notified by email on any failed attempt.
If after two weeks, the subscription payment still has not been successfully charged, your subscription will be canceled.
Without an active subscription, you can still log in to Conjure and perform basic actions such as re-subscribing, managing billing, exporting your account data and deleting your account.
Conjure offers a 30 day free trial. You won't be charged until your free trial ends, you can cancel at any time and export your data. We'll remind you a few days before your trial ends, and refund you if you didn't mean to pay. For more see Conjure's pricing page.
Why is a credit card required for the trial?
When a user associates a credit card with their trial, it is more likely they are real and are reasonably interested in using Conjure.
Due to this, as Conjure is self-funded/bootstrapped, we are more comfortable spending more money on resources and server capacity, to give a user the best experience, even if they decide not to continue afterwards.
We know this is a point of friction and we want to not require associating a credit card for a trial in the future, once we have modest revenue and better understand our unit economics (eg know the cost per user).
As detailed, you won't be charged until your free trial ends, you can cancel at any time and export your data. We'll remind you a few days before your trial ends, and refund you if you didn't mean to pay.
We'll gladly refund someone their last payment if they didn't mean to pay, or didn't find Conjure valuable to them, or didn't use Conjure. Just contact us to arrange a refund.
Conjure offers free access for individuals with little disposable income, who cannot afford Conjure (students, low income individuals, starving artists, etc). This is based on the number of active Seeker plans and operates on a first come, first serve basis. If an individual stops using Conjure for a period, then their free access is reassigned to another individual. For more, see Conjure's pricing page.
Conjure does not formally offer discounts, however if the currency you earn in is much weaker than USD, contact us and we may be able to offer you an adjusted monthly subscription price appropriate to your currency (using a measure such as the Big Mac index).
If you think you have a compelling reason for a discount, contact us and we'll listen.
